November 16, 2012:
Carol A. Brandolini, Town Collector of the Town of Fairhaven, has had her designation as Certified Massachusetts Municipal Collector renewed for an additional period of five years.
Ms. Brandolini's renewal was granted by the Board of Certification of the statewide organization of local Tax Collectors and Treasurers, the Massachusetts Collectors and Treasurers Association. Renewal is awarded every five years only to those previously Certified candidates who continue to attend the Annual School of the Association held in August of each year at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and who successfully complete courses in municipal law, finance and administration.
In a letter to the Board of Selectmen, Executive Director Michael J. Hanlon, Jr. of the Massachusetts Collectors and Treasurers Association, extended congratulations and conveyed the thanks of that body to the people of Fairhaven for supporting Ms. Brandolini's efforts which culminated in this honor and achievement. Mr. Hanlon went on to say he was confident that the people of Fairhaven would continue to support their Collector's efforts to maintain and increase her expertise.
Ms. Brandolini received her Renewal Certificate on November 14 at the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton during luncheon ceremonies which was attended by many state and local government notables.
