30 May 2016 - Earl's Marina Oil Spill Photos

30 May 2016 - approx: 9:00am - Fire Department responded to a report of an oil spill at Earl's Marina on West Island. Upon arrival, it was discovered a crane, positioned on the dock to lift boats into the marina harbor had sustained a hydraulic leak in one the out-riggers that stabilize the crane while in operation. Hydraulic fluid drained into the harbor and personnel from the fire department, the Fairhaven Harbor Master and Employees from Earl's Marina placed absorbant material across the harbor to contain the spill.
