Fairhaven Fire-EMS was presented with a donation of 6 pet oxygen masks kits through a fund raising project initiated by 2 local youths.
Charlotte Roy and Kamiree Henicke started “CK’s Luki Pets Project” and raised money through sales during the Southcoast Lemonade Day. They then received matching funds through Moriarty’s Invisible Fence Company serving MA, RI and CT.
With the combined funds they were able to purchase the prepackaged oxygen kits which are used for resuscitation efforts on pets. Fire Department find these especially useful during a fire when pets are overcome by smoke inhalation. These kits allow rescuers to properly provide life saving oxygen to these pets.
