Livesey Club Fire

An early morning fire was reported at 3:54 am on May 6, 2018 at the Thomas Livesey Memorial Club at 11 Hopkins Street in Fairhaven.  Several 9-1-1 calls were received from neighbors who reported seeing flames at the back of the club. 2 Engines and a Ladder truck responded on the initial call.  When firefighters arrived they found heavy flames coming from the back of the building.  The fire quickly spread to the roof and engulfed the structure. Mutual Aid was received from the Acushnet Fire Department which was called to help at the scene while the Mattapoisett Fire Department covered at Fairhaven’s headquarters.
