TOWN CLERK STUDY COMMITTEE SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT

Forum Scheduled for Feb. 26

 

FAIRHAVEN, MA – The Fairhaven Town Clerk Study Committee would like to invite all Fairhaven residents to a public forum on Monday, February 26, 2018, 7 pm, at the Fairhaven Town Hall, 40 Center Street.  The purpose of this forum is to discuss the role of the Town Clerk, his/her duties and functions, and whether Town residents would like to keep it elected or consider changing it to an appointed position.

The Town Clerk Study Committee is charged with studying the role of the Town Clerk, and with making a recommendation to the Board of Selectmen/Town Meeting whether the Town would like to change the position to appointed. Voters are urged to attend this meeting, to give their opinions and ask questions of the Town Clerk Study Committee.

This meeting will be held in the auditorium and will be filmed by the Cable Access Department. Light refreshments will be provided.
