Beaches closed to swimming

As of Thursday, September 2, 2021 due to the storm surge from Tropical storm Ida and the resulting contamination of stormwater into the harbor, ALL Town beaches are currently CLOSED to swimming until further notice.
Town beaches include:
- Fort Phoenix (town side)
- Pope Beach
- West Island Causeway
- West Island Town Beach
- Knollmere Beach (Private)
- Sandy Beach (Private)
