Now's the time to BUILD the Greenway: Let Congress and U.S. DOT hear from you today

Help Mattapoisett expand the Greenway by having your voice heard!

This will be an extremely competitive grant program.  If this grant is awarded, it will be a huge benefit to not only Mattapoisett but to Fairhaven and other local communities as well. If you would like to have your voice heard: 

Send an email to Secertary Elaine Chao and the U.S. Department of Transportation at MassDOT showing your support for Mattapoistett. EMAIL:  BUILDgrants@dot.gov.  Click here for a sample email. 

Write to your elected officials to let them know you believe the Greenway is a good investment. Follow the directions on their contact forms — you'll need to enter your zip code and/or mailing address. We've included sample language asking officials to tell Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao that they support their local proposals.

Write to your Senators:
"Please urge Secretary Elaine Chao to fund the BUILD grant proposal for Mattapoisett, building 1.5 miles of shared-use paths that would complete a 20-mile route connecting New Bedford to Wareham on the South Coast Bikeway, eventually linking Rhode Island to Cape Cod."
