Stasia Powers Wins Recall/Special Election 2021

The unofficial results for the July 26, 2021 Town of Fairhaven Recall/Special Election have been released.
Town of Fairhaven residents voted in favor of the Recall of current Selectman Dan Freitas’ seat on the Town Select Board by a margin of 1,903 to 419.
That said, Stasia Powers won the vacancy on the Select Board with a total of 807 votes, unofficially.
Behind Powers, Leon Correy and Cam Durant received 785 and 659 votes, respectively.
Powers will join Robert Espindola and Keith Silvia on the Select Board for the remainder of the elected year, and will have to rerun for a full-term seat in the annual 2022 April Town Election.
Official election results will be confirmed in the next 24-48 hours.
