rec-center-closed

On Wednesday, November 18, the Town of Fairhaven was notified that an employee of the Recreation Center tested positive for COVID-19.

The case appears to be isolated, however, the building will remain closed for the remainder of the day to be cleaned and disinfected. The Recreation Center is scheduled to reopen tomorrow, Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 5:45AM for its normal operating hours.

All close contacts have been notified in this case. Therefore, if you have not received notification you are not required to quarantine.

As cases continue to grow in Fairhaven, we would like to use this opportunity to remind all residents to continue to practice social distancing, mask wearing and handwashing/sanitization to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Also, as a reminder, there will be free COVID-19 testing this Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the Recreation Center from 9:00AM - 12:00PM.
