Join the Town of Fairhaven at the annual 4th of July Parade/Car Cruise!

The Veterans' Services Office is looking for volunteers to participate in the parade this year. Local business, organizations, families or anyone interested in participating in the car cruise or parade should contact Brad Fish, the Town's Veterans' Services Officer. 508-979-4023 EXT. 6

Green Street residents are encouraged to get patriotic and line their lawns with American flags. Contact Brad Fish to borrow smaller American flags for this purpose.

Parade Schedule:
8AM: Raising of the flag at Fairhaven High School/Car Cruise Assembles at High School

8:15AM: Parade gathers at Cushman Park to wait for Car Cruise to meetup

8:45AM: Parade + Car Cruise begin down Green Street from Cushman Park down to Fort Phoenix

10:00AM: Annual Fairhaven Village Militia 4th of July Ceremony. The ceremony will feature a brief history of Fort Phoenix presented by Tourism Director Chris Richard. There will then be a reading of the Declaration of Independence by Charles K. Murphy Sr., chairman of the Fairhaven Board of Selectmen. The flag will be raised as the National Anthem is played. Following the flag raising, the fort’s five 24-pound Seacoast Defense cannons will be fired over the harbor by the Fairhaven Village Militia.
