Mask Mandate Update Information as of May 14, 2021

The Board of Health office has received numerous phone calls as well as emails about the mask update from the CDC for fully vaccinated persons.

While the CDC states that "you can resume activities without wearing a mask or staying 6 feet apart, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance," we are all still under Governor Baker's Mask Mandate and we must still follow it even though the CDC has released this information.

Please remember, as of April 30th, face coverings will only be required outside in public when it is not possible to social distance, and at other times required by sector-specific guidance. Face coverings will still be required at all time in indoor public spaces. Face coverings will also continue to be required at all times at events, whether held indoors or outdoors and whether held in a public space or private home, except for when eating or drinking.
