The heavy rain held out long enough for the Annual Fairhaven July 4th Parade along Green Street to Fort Phoenix. Parade participants gathered to brave the light rain and drizzle led by Grand Marshall Charles "Chuck" Cromwell. Town Administrator Angie Lopes Ellison, School Superintendent Tara Kohler along with the Select Board distributed flags along the route.
This year's parade culminated with Select Board Chair Leon Correy reading the Declaration of Independence and then the firing of the canons from historic Fort Phoenix.
